Our kitchen and floor staff have worked for us for many years now specifically doing function work and are friendly and professional.
The following is part of a letter from the father-of-the-bride for a wedding at Bogong Village, where a beautiful ceremony was followed by canapés on the lawn and then a sit-down dinner in the dining room. The father-of-the-bride had this to say after the event:
“I would sincerely wish to thank both you and your staff for the catering at our daughter’s wedding at Bogong Village. Without exception, everyone was delighted with both the quality and quantity of the food provided. This response came from a wide range of guests and was certainly the theme when the two families met over a quiet drink the following evening once all the guests had departed. The platter idea proved once again a real winner as each person could select their own individual serve, size of serving or any combination of dishes provided. Everything arrived hot and ready for the guests as arranged.
Could I complement your catering staff on the floor, as they quietly, but effectively moved around the tables as and when required. Like a good umpire or referee, their presence was felt but rarely noticed. I would also like to thank the two bar staff for their work throughout the evening. All in all, no guest wanted for anything as the meal and the evening progressed.
I know that my daughter and son-in-law were particularly delighted in how the catering turned out, as naturally they were very worried about this aspect in the months and weeks ahead of their wedding.“
On Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 we made many positive decisions for our daughter's wedding in Tarrawingee at our property. The best decision our daughter made was to engage you at "Straight from the Ovens Catering" to manage the fingerfood style menu for us.
I have to say we were absolutely delighted with the high quality and variety of the food provided. There was certainly enough for our 104 guests and the feedback we received from the guests was that the food was delicious, varied and of very generous proportions. You, the proprietors of this business, can be very proud of what you do and how you do it. You were extremely pleasant, cooperative and easy to get on with and very eager to do whatever we wanted to make the night special. Our one and only gluten-free guest was "blown away" by the trouble you went to in providing her with delicious, plentiful food, which accommodated her needs.
The other thing that impressed everyone was the service by your employees to our guests. The helpers were very polite and made every effort to cover all areas of gathered guests in groups to ensure everyone had their fair share of the delicious food. They carefully explained of what each dish consisted and the food was always fresh and/or hot (and yummy!).
I cannot recommend your business highly enough to anyone looking for a wedding caterer in North East Victoria. To say we were very happy with the catering is an understatement!
Thank you again for helping to make our daughter's wedding such a wonderful evening. In this World of often lots of whingeing and criticism, it is our pleasure to congratulate you and thank you for getting it "so right"!

Wedding venues this season have varied from private properties, Buffalo Motel Retreat in Porepunkah, Harrietville Hall, Wandiligong Hall, Bright Community Centre, Bright Bowls Club and rented holiday homes such as the magnificent "Vision Splendid" in Beechworth and Bald Hills House in Stanley. Congratulations to all the gorgeous couples, who have tied the knot this beautiful area.
